Employers across Poland report considerable increase hiring intentions for Q4

ManpowerGroup has published the latest report, in which companies reveal their hiring plans for October to December. The Net Employment Outlook (NEO) for Poland, which is a labor market barometer and shows companies' willingness to attract new staff, for the coming quarter is positive +17%. Compared to Q3 2023, organizations anticipate the NEO to strengthen by 5 percentage points, and strengthen by 17 points since this quarter last year. Poland ranks sixth to last globally for its employment expectations, 13 points below the global average. 47% of the companies expect no change to their workforce levels, and only 4% do not know the plans for the next quarter.

All of the industries with recruitment optimism
Poland's most competitive sector is Financials & Real Estate with an employment outlook of +26, increasing by 21 percentage points since the previous quarter, and by 19 percentage points since Q4 2022. Poland ranks third globally for the Financials & Real Estate sector's quarterly increase, above the 41-country average quarterly increase by 19 points. The sector with the largest increase since the third quarter of 2023 is Energy & Utilities with an increase of 22 percentage points. Poland ranks fourth globally for the Energy & Utilities sector's quarterly increase, beating the 41-country average quarterly increase by 25 points.

The strongest competition for employees in Central Poland
Polish hiring managers in all 6 regions expect an increase in staffing levels in the next quarter. The most competitive region in Poland is the Central region with a NEO of 28, rising by 17 percentage points since last quarter, and 24 percentage points since a year ago. This region reports the largest increase since the third quarter of 2023. The Central region is also one of the regions with the largest increase with a change of 24 percentage points since Q4 2022. An equally competitive region with an increase of 24 points is the South region.

Micro-enterprises with the most difficult situation, bog and small-sized companies want to strengthen teams
Polish employers in organizations with 250+ employees are the most optimistic with a NEO of 20, rising by 2 percentage points since the third quarter of 2023, and 18 percentage points since a year ago. The organizations with the largest increase since the third quarter of 2023 are those with 50-249 employees. They report a change of 10 percentage points. Poland ranks seventh globally for this type of organization's quarterly increase, beating the 41-country average quarterly increase by 8 points. Employers in organizations with less than 10 employees have the largest increase in expectations since a year ago with a change of 31 percentage points. This quarter is the highest NEO recorded in such organizations for over 10 years, going back to Q4 2011 when it was 10.
