Senior Java Developer (M/K)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join an international technology team responsible for building and modernizing mission-critical payment solutions used in a large-scale financial environment.

This is an opportunity to work on high-impact systems supporting cross-border transactions, while driving the transition toward modern architectures based on microservices, APIs, event-driven integration, and cloud-native engineering practices.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade applications using Java
• Contribute to the modernization of payment platforms and business-critical services
• Build scalable solutions using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Work with technologies such as Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to production support
• Improve engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional agile teams
• Share knowledge and support less experienced developers through mentoring and technical guidance
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and automation to improve productivity and quality

What we're looking for:

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
• Understanding of modern software design principles, including microservices and APIs
• Experience with messaging and event-driven integration solutions such as Kafka or IBM MQ
• Hands-on experience with tools including Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Nice to have:

• Experience in banking, payments, fintech, or other highly regulated industries
• Practical experience with AI-powered development and engineering productivity tools
