Data Architect (D365/ERP) – M/K

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to shape and develop the data architecture across Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP and CRM) and other enterprise applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing how data is structured, integrated, and managed across key business systems, including ERP, MES, PLM, and CRM. You will also support the development of a modern enterprise data platform, ensuring reliable data flows and enabling advanced analytics, AI-driven solutions, and efficient business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end data architecture connecting Microsoft Dynamics 365, ERP, CRM, MES, PLM, and other enterprise applications
• Define and maintain standardized data models across key business domains, including customers, products, suppliers, finance, and manufacturing
• Establish integration architecture using APIs, event-driven solutions, ETL/ELT processes, and data virtualization
• Architect cross-system data flows supporting critical business processes, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and manufacturing operations
• Develop standards for data exchange, synchronization, and lineage to ensure consistency and interoperability across platforms
• Collaborate with application teams to simplify system integrations, reduce data silos, and improve data accessibility
• Align operational data architecture with enterprise data platforms, including data warehouses and lakehouse solutions
• Define architectural approaches for real-time and batch data processing
• Develop and support Master Data Management (MDM) strategies, data governance frameworks, and data quality standards
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with data engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders to align architectural decisions with business objectives
• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship to other architects and engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• About 10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architecture
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP and CRM), including its underlying data models and modules such as Finance & Operations, Sales, and Customer Service
• Proven experience designing data architectures and integrations within the D365 ecosystem, including data extraction, synchronization, and extension mechanisms
• Advanced knowledge of transactional and analytical data modeling, particularly across finance, customer, product, and order domains
• Experience with enterprise integration technologies, including APIs, Dataverse, Azure Integration Services, or middleware platforms
• Hands-on experience with the Azure data ecosystem, such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Lake
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality, governance, and security principles

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with MES, PLM, or other enterprise and manufacturing systems
• Familiarity with Dataverse, Dual-write, BYOD (Bring Your Own Database), and Common Data Model (CDM)
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, including Azure Event Grid and Azure Service Bus
• Experience implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions
• Familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or other analytics and reporting solutions built on D365 data
• Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environments
