About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior/Manager Java Full Stack Engineer (SME) to join a dedicated SWAT Team focused on solving complex business and technical challenges within a large-scale enterprise environment.

This position is ideal for a hands-on technical expert who thrives in fast-paced organizations, enjoys tackling critical issues, and can provide technical leadership across multiple teams. You will play a key role in identifying risks, removing delivery blockers, driving modernization initiatives, and supporting strategic architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within a specialized SWAT Team to resolve critical business and technical challenges
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with multiple development teams and business stakeholders to accelerate delivery
• Provide technical leadership and expert-level guidance within your domain
• Support architecture, integration, and modernization initiatives
• Drive best practices across software engineering, DevOps, and operational excellence
• Leverage AI-powered tools and approaches throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across the organization

Required Experience & Skills

Must-Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a corporate IT environment
• Strong commercial experience with Java and enterprise application development
• Expert-level knowledge within your technical domain
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to independently drive issue resolution and decision-making
• Experience working across multiple teams and managing technical dependencies
• Ability to operate effectively in complex enterprise environments

Technical Requirements

• 10+ years of commercial experience developing web-based applications
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong full-stack development background
• Practical experience with Angular or React (experience with both is highly valued)
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs and SOAP services
• Solid knowledge of SQL and SQL Server
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment practices
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
  • Azure DevOps
  • Cosmos DB
  • Application Insights
• Experience applying AI tools and practices throughout the SDLC
• Very good English communication skills, both written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Experience with Guidewire platforms
• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Professional certifications in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Azure
• Experience with Jutro Digital Platform (JDP)
