Senior Data Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer to join an international team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of modern data platform solutions. This role is ideal for professionals who combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with cloud-based data technologies.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modern data platform solutions
• Develop and optimize data processing pipelines using Python and PySpark
• Deliver scalable solutions using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Synapse
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Support reporting and analytics initiatives using Business Intelligence tools
• Contribute to data architecture design and best practices
• Ensure high-quality, reliable, and efficient data solutions

Requirements

• Strong understanding of modern data platform architecture
• Hands-on experience building solutions in Databricks using Python/PySpark (alternatively Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse)
• Professional software development experience
• Experience with Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar data solutions
• Experience designing end-to-end data platform architectures
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Azure Cloud Services, and .NET
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development environments
• Understanding of Agentic AI, agent-based programming techniques, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
