About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale vendor replacement and platform migration initiative within a Hadoop / Cloudera environment. This is a strategic role requiring strong leadership, stakeholder management, and proven experience delivering complex data platform transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate vendor transition activities as Project Manager
• Plan and manage project delivery, including timelines, resources, dependencies, and risks
• Drive project execution to ensure predictable and successful delivery
• Manage project budget, financial forecasting, and cost control
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and issues, escalating where necessary
• Facilitate project meetings and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Prepare status reports and Steering Committee (SteerCo) presentations
• Promote a strong delivery culture and project management best practices
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and executive leadership

Requirements

• 10+ years of Project Management experience in IT environments
• Proven track record in large-scale Hadoop / Cloudera platform migrations or vendor replacement projects
• Strong experience managing complex enterprise transformation initiatives
• Excellent risk and issue management capabilities
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear business insights
• Exceptional stakeholder and executive stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments
• Background in data platforms, Big Data, Data Lakes, or Cloud migrations
