Senior Java Engineer

Location: Kraków (8 days per month in the office)
Start Date: ASAP / within 1 month
Rate: Up to 160 PLN/h + VAT (B2B)

Responsibilities

• Support and modernize legacy Java applications using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Participate in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Delivery activities.
• Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.
• Analyze requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities.
• Support CI/CD automation and application lifecycle management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Java development and support.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GCP, Spring Cloud, Angular, or Redis.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring solutions.
