Business Analyst – Corporate Actions (Broadridge)
100% REMOTE

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Corporate Actions and securities post-trade processing. The successful candidate will work closely with business, operations, and technology teams to analyze complex processes, define requirements, improve system capabilities, and support the delivery of solutions across Corporate Actions platforms, ideally leveraging Broadridge applications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and document Corporate Actions processes, workflows, and system interactions.
  • Gather, clarify, and translate business needs into detailed functional and system requirements.
  • Support Corporate Actions processing across mandatory, mandatory-with-options, and voluntary events.
  • Analyze the end-to-end Corporate Actions lifecycle, including:
    • Event announcement and capture
    • Event validation and enrichment
    • Eligibility and entitlement calculations
    • Election processing
    • Instruction management
    • Payment and distribution activities
    • Cash and securities booking
    • Reconciliation and event closure
  • Review and analyze Corporate Actions processing within Broadridge platforms and connected systems.
  • Analyze data mappings, interfaces, and message flows, including SWIFT Corporate Action messages.
  • Investigate business and processing issues, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Define business rules, validation requirements, reconciliation controls, and exception-handling processes.
  • Produce functional specifications, process documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mapping documentation.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product Owners, Development, Architecture, and Testing teams.
  • Support system and user acceptance testing through scenario creation, validation, and defect analysis.
  • Contribute to platform migrations, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Essential
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within banking, capital markets, securities services, custody, or asset servicing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Corporate Actions and securities post-trade processing.
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end Corporate Action lifecycle.
  • Experience working with mandatory, mandatory-with-options, and voluntary Corporate Actions events.
  • Understanding of securities positions, holdings, entitlements, cash movements, and settlement processes.
  • Knowledge of custody services, securities accounts, and post-trade operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Broadridge solutions supporting Corporate Actions or securities processing.
  • Ability to analyze workflows, data structures, interfaces, and business rules across complex systems.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT ISO 15022 Corporate Action messaging standards.
  • Strong business and functional requirements gathering and documentation skills.
  • Experience preparing:
    • Business and functional requirements

    • Process flows
    • Data mappings
    • Interface specifications
    • Test scenarios
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.

  • Experience with Broadridge configuration or functional analysis.
  • SQL and data analysis experience.
