Senior Backend Engineer

Location: 100% Remote
Contract Type: B2B via Experis 
Start Date: ASAP / within 1 month / flexible

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in cloud-native environments, distributed systems, and modern backend technologies. This role is ideal for engineers who have a solid platform, infrastructure, or backend development background and enjoy working on scalable, containerized solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and cloud-native applications.
• Build and optimize scalable solutions in Kubernetes-based environments.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and platform reliability.
• Support best practices related to containerization, automation, and distributed systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 year of experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Commercial experience with Java and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot is considered a plus.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and containerized environments.
• Experience working in cloud-native platforms and modern backend ecosystems.
• Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).

Nice to Have

• German language skills.
• Practical experience with n8n.
• Background in platform engineering, infrastructure, or cloud operations.
