SAP Data Management Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Management Lead to drive the Data Management workstream within a large-scale separation/carve-out program. You will be responsible for data governance, data scope definition, data quality oversight, migration planning, business validation, and cutover readiness across SAP and non-SAP environments.

Working closely with Business Data Owners, IT teams, Legal, Privacy, and Buyer organizations, you will ensure the successful extraction, validation, and delivery of business-critical data throughout the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data governance activities and establish data ownership and accountability models.
• Define data scope, Minimum Viable Dataset (MVD), and data retention strategies.
• Manage data inventories across SAP, non-SAP, SaaS, and unstructured data environments.
• Oversee data quality assessments, cleansing activities, and validation processes.
• Define and coordinate data extraction, migration, delivery, and cutover strategies.
• Facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders to identify and prioritize data requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, privacy, legal, and information protection requirements.
• Coordinate business validation, reconciliations, sign-offs, and Day 1 readiness activities.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• 10+ years of experience in Data Migration, Data Governance, or Data Management.
• Strong SAP data expertise, including SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • SAP Master Data
  • Transactional Data
  • Large-scale Data Migration Programs
  • Data Quality & Cleansing
  • Data Governance Frameworks
• Experience facilitating workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in carve-out, separation, divestiture, merger, or acquisition programs.
• Knowledge of migration tools such as Syniti ADMM, SNP, SAP Data Services, or similar solutions.
• Functional understanding of SAP domains including Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance.
• Experience collaborating with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams.

Ideal Candidate

You are a senior data professional with a strong SAP background and proven experience delivering complex data migration and transformation initiatives. You excel at coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, establishing effective data governance, and ensuring high-quality data delivery in large-scale enterprise programs. Experience supporting carve-outs, business separations, or M&A initiatives is highly desirable.
