Solution Architect / Technical Lead (Java)

Location: Remote / Hybrid - Warsaw with occasional visits in the office (1-4 times per month)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect / Technical Lead to join a large-scale banking project focused on payment systems. The role combines solution architecture, technical leadership, project coordination, and hands-on support across backend, frontend, and DevOps areas.

Responsibilities

• Design solution architecture for banking payment systems
• Gather business and technical requirements
• Coordinate project teams and oversee technical delivery
• Prepare and maintain project documentation
• Support development activities across Backend, Frontend, and DevOps teams
• Ensure system scalability, security, and performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with banking payment systems
• 10+ years of experience with Java
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Kafka Streams
• Excellent knowledge of design patterns, UML, and Enterprise Architect
• Experience with high-volume transaction processing systems
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Spring Cloud Gateway, Kafka Streams, Hibernate, Spring Security, and Resilience4j
• Experience with Tomcat, Netty, Hazelcast, and Ehcache
• Strong understanding of security concepts including PKI, Digital Signatures, JWT, TLS, and mTLS
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• Knowledge of Git/Gerrit, Jira, Maven, IntelliJ, and CI/CD processes
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, and Loki
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and MCP
