Senior/Lead Automation Quality Engineer

Location: 100% remote work 
Availability: ASAP / within 1 month
Rate: 150 - 160 PLN/h + VAT 

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Automation Quality Engineer to work in a multicultural team environment, taking ownership of quality assurance activities across the full testing lifecycle. This role requires a strong blend of automation and manual testing expertise, a proactive mindset, mentoring capabilities, and experience working in dynamic environments with high-quality expectations from end clients.

Responsibilities:

• Own quality E2E from requirements engineering review to QA/UAT sign-off across the monorepo

• Work within a multicultural team environment

• Operate effectively in a high-dynamics environment with high-quality expectations from end clients

• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QA Engineers

• Perform a mix of manual and automation testing

• Conduct exploratory E2E testing

• Execute API, SQL and Excel parity testing

• Perform data quality validation between UI and backend systems

• Carry out AI evaluations

• Perform defect retesting

• Manage and update GitHub tickets

• Maintain CI tests

• Work with Azure DevOps

• Strategize automation approaches

• Automate test cases based on business requirements and project constraints

Requirements:

• Senior-level technology and people skills

• Hands-on experience with Playwright, preferably with TypeScript

• Experience with pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, curl and/or Postman

• Ability to switch between manual/functional and automation testing based on priorities

• ISTQB Foundation certification or higher

• Experience with data quality validation between UI and backend systems

• Proactive mindset with a strong can-do attitude

• Ability to quickly ramp up in new environments and projects

• Experience working in multicultural teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data quality testing and automation

• Knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, Azure or AWS pipelines, Airflow, Python and DBT

• Experience within Financial Services, including Insurance, Banking, Payments or Tax

• Experience within Pharma, Life Sciences or Healthcare environments

• Experience with performance and stress testing using JMeter or similar tools

AI-Assisted Testing / GenAI-Powered QE Experience:

• Experience with Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Cursor or similar tools

• Experience using AI skills and prompts for QA validation and decision-making

• Experience with RAG and GenAI assistants involving chat, tools, search and citations

• Experience with document extraction and repeatable automations aimed at deterministic outputs

• Knowledge of Agentic AI and MCP

• Experience creating AI-generated test cases and test scenarios

• Experience with AI-assisted defect analysis and regression testing

• Experience with AI-driven test automation

• Experience with test coverage optimization using AI technologies
