AWS Developer

Location: 100% remote

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join an international team building scalable, cloud-native data platforms on AWS. In this role, you will design and optimize data pipelines that process large volumes of device, event, usage, and operational data powering connected consumer products.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines on AWS.
• Build data ingestion, transformation, and distribution services using Python.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
• Design and optimize data models and storage solutions across RDS, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and DynamoDB.
• Build reliable pipelines for processing large-scale device and event data.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based data infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the data platform ecosystem.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, automation, testing, and monitoring.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience, including:
• Lambda
• DynamoDB
• RDS
• S3
• Glue
• Kinesis
• ECS/EKS
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Commercial experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong SQL skills and database optimization experience.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, especially DynamoDB.
• Proven background in building scalable data pipelines and distributed systems.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with IoT platforms and connected device ecosystems.
• AWS IoT Core and MQTT knowledge.
• Kafka or Kinesis Data Streams experience.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Production support experience in cloud-based environments.
