Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Security Engineer to support the evaluation and improvement of AI-powered security solutions. In this role, you will work at the intersection of application security, secure software development, and Generative AI, helping ensure that security tools deliver accurate, reliable, and actionable results. You will collaborate with engineering and security teams to validate AI-driven security capabilities, assess emerging technologies, and contribute to the development of innovative security validation strategies. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI-assisted security products while working in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute validation strategies for AI-powered application security tools.
• Evaluate the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of AI-generated security findings and recommendations.
• Develop testing frameworks, benchmarks, and validation methodologies for security-focused AI solutions.
• Validate detection capabilities across SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection, and infrastructure security tools.
• Assess commercial and open-source security solutions and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

Expectations

• 3+ years of experience in Application Security, Security Testing, Secure Software Development, or Software Engineering with a strong security focus.
• Hands-on experience with security tools and practices, including SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability management, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) principles and best practices.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies, as well as CI/CD environments.
• Interest in or exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, AI-assisted development tools, or security automation solutions.
