Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational (Opex) and capital expenditure (Capex) data to determine the cost of delivering IT services within a Shared Services organization.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the IT cost structure and identify opportunities to improve cost transparency, efficiency, and reporting.
• Perform financial analysis and interpret complex datasets to provide actionable insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
• Conduct IT cost benchmarking analyses by comparing internal cost structures against industry standards and best practices.
• Design, build, and maintain Excel-based chargeback models to allocate IT service costs accurately to internal business customers.
• Develop advanced Excel financial models, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business decision-making.
• Prepare clear and concise presentations in PowerPoint to communicate benchmarking results, financial analyses, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
• Identify trends, variances, and cost drivers, providing recommendations for process improvements and cost management initiatives.
• Evaluate proposed changes to methodologies, cost allocation models, and financial assumptions to assess their business impact.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, FP&A Analyst, IT Financial Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong understanding of IT financial management, including Opex, Capex, IT cost structures, and chargeback/showback methodologies.
• Experience performing financial benchmarking and comparative cost analyses.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate findings into business recommendations.
