Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Location: hybrid model (2 days from the office in Wrocław)
Salary: 180–200 PLN net/h


Tasks

• Develop and maintain Backstage plugins, templates, catalog configurations, and UI extensions tailored for company’s IDP
• Integrate golden path workflows such as CI/CD blueprints, IaC templates, and security patterns directly into Backstage
• Improve discoverability, consistency, and usability across developer workflows
• Integrate MCP-compatible tools, LLM assistants, and AI-powered capabilities into Backstage
• Build AI-powered features such as contextual help, troubleshooting, code generation, documentation summarization, and onboarding automation
• Build and maintain AI toolchains including embeddings, vector stores, RAG pipelines, and internal knowledge search
• Build secure, scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python
• Develop polished UI components using React and Backstage framework
• Implement integrations with cloud services, identity providers, secrets management, repositories, and deployment systems
• Automate service lifecycle including creation, provisioning, dependency updates, and standardization
• Embed secure-by-default standards into Backstage templates
• Integrate security automation including SAST, SCA, DAST, SBOM, and policy-as-code
• Enable automated guardrails via Backstage plugins and catalog policies
• Collaborate with platform engineering, cloud, security, and Golden Path teams
• Drive developer adoption through demos, documentation, and training
• Act as subject matter expert in Backstage and AI-driven developer experience

Requirements

• Experience with Backstage including plugin development, templates, and Software Catalog
• Strong full-stack development skills in TypeScript, Node.js, React, REST or GraphQL APIs
• Experience with Python, Go, or cloud-native backend development is a plus
• Solid DevSecOps knowledge including CI/CD, GitOps, artifact management, and service delivery
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AKS and cloud platforms with preference for Azure
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible
• Familiarity with MCP tools, LLM assistants, vector databases, embeddings, and RAG pipelines
• Experience with AI-driven solutions like documentation automation, code analysis, or CI/CD optimization
• Understanding of identity, RBAC, secret management, compliance, and software supply chain security
• Experience embedding governance and guardrails into developer workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Developer-focused mindset with passion for improving developer experience
• Curiosity and continuous improvement attitude toward automation and simplification
