Data Analyst - Expert (OVD)

Responsibilities:

• Perform IT analysis, investigative data analysis, system design, and data modelling to support development teams
• Take lead or facilitating role to drive functional and non-functional requirements and analysis work involving multiple stakeholders
• Ensure alignment and transparency of requirements by acting as a bridge between IT and business teams
• Build a contextual understanding of business processes and functional/technical know-how of solutions
• Develop understanding of data models and their consumption by development teams, ensuring data fulfills business requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with JSON/AVRO data formats
• Familiarity with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala, pySpark, and HQL
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, R, or Java
• Experience in relational database design and querying, including optimization
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a good command of the English language
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in cross-border, cross-cultural, virtual teams
• Experience in defining and forming business & technical requirements into understandable formats
• Utilization of Jira and Bitbucket for project tracking and version control
• Experience in requirement analysis and refinement in data-related areas
