Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Microsoft Defender Technical Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. This role requires deep technical expertise in Microsoft Defender solutions, including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft security technologies in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Defender solutions across various environments.
- Perform threat detection, investigation, and response using Defender tools.
- Collaborate with security operations and IT teams to ensure optimal protection and compliance.
- Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis of security incidents.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and clients.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and Microsoft Defender capabilities.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on Microsoft security technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Cloud.
- Strong understanding of threat detection, incident response, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center and Azure Security Center.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft certifications such as SC-200, SC-300, or AZ-500.
- Experience with SIEM solutions like Microsoft Sentinel.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and XDR strategies.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
