Senior Lead Java Developer

Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Java Expert with strong expertise in Microservices, Cloud, and DevOps to join our Poland-based engineering team. This role requires leadership capabilities, technical excellence, and the ability to collaborate with both local and international stakeholders.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an API architect
• Proven background in Java back-end development, Spring Boot, middleware, and application security
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure (Linux OS, networking, storage, load-balancing)
• Expertise in JVM tuning, diagnostics, and performance optimization
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh
• Familiarity with observability tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Jaeger, Kiali, OpenTelemetry)
• Cloud experience (preferably GCP; other platforms accepted)
• DevOps awareness and understanding of VPC, IAM, firewalls, and cost optimization
• Advanced SQL skills preferred
• Knowledge of the payments industry is a plus
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team motivation skills
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2++/C1 level)

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project requirements and contribute to architectural design
• Lead the development and transformation of the POL application
• Support the operation and modernization of payment solutions
• Ensure alignment with DevOps principles and internal standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders and lead technical discussions
• Act as a proactive team and tech lead
